What changed in this week's release
Institution API
Application
- Credit outcomes —
GET /applications/{id}/outcomereturns the credit decision: what was awarded, what an officer rejected or re-priced, and whether it is final. Each credit lists every source that earned it, and carries adecisionIdso several units awarded by one decision can be grouped. - Detecting changes —
GET /applications/changes, a cursor-paged feed of everything of yours that has changed, each record carrying its outcome. - Correcting records —
PATCHon applications and applicants, plusGET /applicants/{id}. - Document counts — every qualification now reports
documentCount. - Qualification documents — upload, list and download evidence against a specific qualification rather than the application as a whole.
Breaking: applicationData has been removed from the application
response. It was an internal projection of the same qualifications already on
that response, renamed into our assessment engine’s vocabulary. Use
qualifications for what we hold, and the outcome
endpoint for the credit decision.
Applicant
- Applicant names —
givenName1andgivenName2are now separate fields. - Sample test data — ready-to-post request bodies covering each shape of credit decision, including several units awarded by one decision and the two empty responses that mean different things.
Curriculum
- Specialisations — attach and remove them on curriculum structures.
Assessment
- Assessment workflows —
GET /workflowsandGET /workflows/{id}: the steps an application moves through, and which of your programs use each one. The stepcodevalues are the same strings asworkflowStatuson the outcome, so a status can now be turned into a position in the process. - Academic approval — awarded credit is now routed to the academic staff responsible for it, per decision, and accepted or rejected by them. Nothing for you to call, and no change to any response shape.
Worth reading if you store outcomes rather than reading them live: as shipped on 2 September,
finalOutcome: true did not yet mean academic approval had happened, and
totalCreditUoc did not reflect an academic rejection.
Both were fixed in the 11 September release. If you are on that version or later, an outcome is final only once approval is settled, and a rejected decision contributes nothing to the total. Details.
